This is a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator by a period of 6 months.

It is stated that since the petition under Section 27 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 was filed, the arbitral process took some time and hence, the delay.

My attention has been drawn to an Order dated 15.01.2025 to show that the respondent had already given no objection for extension of time of the Sole Arbitrator.
