Considering the limited nature of relief sought by the petitioner, this Court does not consider it necessary to issue notice to the other respondents and await a representation on their behalf.

The petitioner is a senior citizen and has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no. 2 to decide the petitioner's application filed under Rule 22(3) of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Rules, 2009. It is the petitioner's case

that he has been ill-treated and is being harassed by his relatives and, therefore, has filed an application for removing the said relatives from his residential property (RZ-D-1/315, Gali No.5, Khasra No.85/21, situated in the Village of Palam Colony, known as Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi110045). 5.

Applications filed by the senior citizens under Rule 22(3) of the aforesaid Rules are required to be decided expeditiously. Considering that the petitioner had filed the aforesaid application way back on 20.12.2018, this Court considers it apposite to direct respondent no. 2 to decide the said application as expeditiously as possible and preferably, within a period of one month from today. It is so directed.
