The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 0284/2017, under Section 498-A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 registered at P.S. Prashant Vihar, be quashed. 4.

The said FIR was lodged at the instance of respondent no.2 (Supriya Arya). Respondent no.2 is present in court and she states that the parties have resolved their disputes, in terms of the settlement arrived at before the

Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, Delhi. In terms of the said settlement, petitioner no. 1 and respondent no.2 have agreed for a mutual divorce and this Court is informed the same has been granted. Petitioner no.1 has also agreed to pay a sum of ₹9,55,000/- in full and final settlement of the dues. It is also stated that out of the aforesaid amount, ₹6,55,000/- has already been paid.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and she states that she has no grievance against the petitioners. She also states that with the receipt of the further sum of ₹3,00,000/-, she would also have no other claim against the petitioners.

Petitioner no.1 (Karan Kumar Ahuja) is also present in Court and states that he is the Special Power of Attorney holder of all the other petitioners i.e. petitioner nos. 2 to 4 and he is authorized to represent all the petitioners in this Court. He has, today, handed over a demand draft in the sum of ₹2,00,000/- and a Manager's Cheque ₹1,00,000/- to respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 has accepted the same in full and final settlement of all her claims. The photocopies of the said demand draft and Manager's cheque are placed on record. Respondent no.2 states that she has no further claim. 7.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the present petition is allowed and FIR No. 284/2017, under Section 498-A/406/34 of the IPC registered at P.S. Prashant Vihar, is quashed and all proceedings emanating therefrom are also quashed.

Petitioner no.1 is identified by his counsel and respondent no.2 is identified by the Investigation Officer. Both the parties shall sign this order

as an acknowledgement of their statements recorded herein. 9.

The petition is disposed of.
