1. This is an application filed by the respondents seeking vacation of interim stay granted by this Court on 12.07.2023.

2. Issue notice. Learned counsel for the petitioners accepts notice and submits on instructions from petitioner no.2, who is present in Court, that taking into account the fresh posting order issued by the respondents on 12.06.2024, accepting the petitioners' request to post them together at ASG Varanasi, he does not press the present petition any further. He, however, prays that the respondents be directed to permit the petitioners to continue the same at Central Government Building Security (CGBS), New Delhi, where they are presently posted, till 31.12.2024, so that the education of their two minor The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. daughters is not suddenly disrupted.

Having considered the submissions of learned counsel for the parties and taking into account the petitioners' plea that the implementation of the posting order dated 12.06.2024 at this stage is likely to affect the academic career of their two young daughters, we are of the view that the petitioners' request for deferment of posting order dated 12.06.2024 deserves to be accepted. We, accordingly, dispose of the application along with the writ petition by directing the respondents to permit the petitioners to continue at CGBS, New Delhi till 31.12.2024. The petitioners will, however, report for duty at ASG Varanasi on or before 01.01.2025.

4. We further make it clear that in case, the petitioners do not report at ASG Varanasi on or before 01.01.2025, it will be open for the respondents to not only initiate appropriate disciplinary action against them but also initiate contempt proceedings as per law.

5. The application and the writ petition are, accordingly, disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
