1. Counsel for the Respondents informs the Court that the Petitioner has since been reinstated in service. He has handed over in Court the compliance affidavit. It is seen that the penalty awarded to the Petitioner stands modified to "reduction of pay to his minimum i.e. from Rs. 32,900/- to Rs. 31,000/- in the pay matrix level -5 (Rs. 29200-92300) for a period of 3 years". There is a further direction that he would not be entitled to increments of pay during the period of reduction and that on the expiry of this period, the reduction would have the effect of postponing his future increments of pay.

2. In that view of the matter, the Court is not inclined to issue any further directions in the matter.

The petition is disposed of.
