By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of the FIR bearing no. 133/2021, registered at Police Station Nand Nagri, Delhi for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 323/341/506/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

Petitioner and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned. 5.
Brief facts of the case are that the marriage between the sister of petitioner and the respondent no. 2 was solemnized at Ghaziabad, UP on 03.12.2014, in accordance with Hindu rites and ceremonies. Due to some misunderstanding and temperamental differences the sister of petitioner started living separately since 04.01.2020. Upon the complaint by respondent no. 2, the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioner. It is stated that during the pendency of the litigations between the parties, the petitioner, her sister and the respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 25.01.2025 and sister of the petitioner and respondent no. 2 started living together as husband and wife since 07.10.2022.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. He further states that he has no objection if the FIR is quashed. 7.
In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 8.
