The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos.1 to 4 to afford police protection to the petitioner.

The petitioner alleges that he has been receiving threats and extortion demands from respondent nos.5 to 8.

details. He further submits that efforts were made to contact the petitioner and elicit further information but he did not cooperate and his responses on phone were also evasive.

Considering the above, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the concerned SHO (SHO, PS Patel Nagar) on 19.09.2020 at 10:30 AM. The concerned SHO shall examine the petitioner's complaint and also evaluate the risk faced by the petitioner. The concerned SHO shall, thereafter, take necessary action in accordance with law including providing security to the petitioner, if he considers the same to be necessary. 6.
