OMP (MISC)(COMM) 201/2020 This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 with a prayer to extend the time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the Award by a period of six months effective from September 13, 2020. I have been informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the proceedings are at the arguments stage.

Mr. Ankur Mittal, learned counsel appearing for the respondent acknowledging the fact that the proceedings before the Arbitral Tribunal are at the arguments stage, states he has no instructions from his client and has left it to the Court to pass appropriate orders. Noting the fact that the proceedings are at the arguments stage, which fact has also been stated in paragraph (ww) at pages 59 and 60 of the petition, the time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the Award is extended by a period of six months effective from September 13, 2020.

Petition is disposed of.
