The instant petition has been filed on behalf of petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 932/2015 under Sections 354/354-B/323/34 IPC registered at P.S. Hauz Khas, New Delhi.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No.2 (daughter-in-law) and petitioner Nos. 1 to 5 who are the in-laws of the complainant. As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the accused persons gave abuses and beatings to the respondent No.2. 3.

Learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that apart from the present petitioners, there were three more accused persons namely, Sh. Ram Singh (fufa of the Complainant), Smt. Savitri Devi (Grand Mother-in-law of the Complainant) and Smt. Kanta Devi (Bua Saas of the complainant) who have since expired, which fact finds mention in the order dated 06.05.2024. respondent No.2 is the complainant/victim in the present case. He, on further instructions, states that charge-sheet has been filed in the present case. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners and the respondent No. 2 are related to each other and the present FIR was registered due to some family disputes and with the intervention of family members and friends, parties have resolved all differences and disputes amicably by way of an oral settlement.

The petitioners, who are present in Court, have been identified by their counsel as well as the I.O./SI Anju, P.S. Hauz Khas, Delhi. Petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and undertake not to repeat the same in future.

Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and has been identified by the I.O. and states that she has settled her disputes with the petitioners out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertakings made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.
