The Petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers: "a. Issuance of a Writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other writ(s) or direction(s) directing the respondents no.1 to expedite the matter titled as Ms. Usha Rani & Anr. Vs. Shri Raj Kumar Singh & ors. vide appeal No. 778/2023 pending in the Ld.

Divisional Commissioner, Appellate Authority, 5, Shamnath Marg, Delhi;

The material on record indicates that the matter is under active consideration before the authority constituted under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. 3.

Since the matter is under consideration before the authority, this Court is not inclined to pass any directions to the authority to give a preferential treatment to the case of the Petitioner. However, the authority is requested to decide the case of the Petitioner keeping in mind the spirit of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. 4.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of, along with pending application(s), if any.
