The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondents to stop the unauthorized construction and demolish the construction being carried out at property bearing no.87-A, Jiwan Nagar, New Delhi ('subject property').

Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent-MCD submits that unauthorized construction in the subject property has been booked and a show cause notice has been issued to the owner/ occupier on 26th May, 2026. 3.

A work stop notice dated 26th May, 2026 has also been issued to SHO, P.S. Sunlight Colony seeking to ensure that no unauthorized construction is being carried out in the subject property. 4.
