Present Public Interest Litigation petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent No.2-Delhi Jal Board to prepare and maintain statement of accounts for Assessment Years 2015-16 to 2020-21 in terms of Section 70 of Delhi Water Board Act, 1998 and a direction to respondent No.3-CAG to audit the accounts of Delhi Jal Board. On the last date of hearing, the learned counsel for the Delhi Jal Board had handed over letters dated 25th January, 2024 written by Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts) to the Senior Deputy Accountant General (TSC), Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Delhi forwarding Annual Accounts for the Years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. 3.
Learned counsel for CAG admits that they have received annual statement of accounts from Delhi Jal Board for the years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21.

In view of the aforesaid statement, the present writ petition is closed with a direction to CAG to audit the account of Delhi Jal Board as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law.
