The Petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers: "(a) Issue an appropriate order or direction including a writ of certiorari to quash the letter-cum-order no. TKD/WR/22-23 dated 27.05.2022 issued for rejecting the Petitioner's request for waiver of the ground rent amounting to Rs. 21,75,498/-;

(b) Issue an appropriate order or direction including a writ of mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2 to Issue an instruction/direction/certificate to the Respondent No. 1 for waiver and consequential refund, along with applicable interest, of the ground rent levied/charged from the petitioner in respect of the subject bills of entry;

It transpires that the parties have entered into a settlement under which the Petitioner has agreed to accept a sum of Rs.21,61,170/- from Respondent No.1.

A demand draft dated 07.05.2024, bearing No.290831 for a sum of Rs.21,61,170/-, drawn on Axis Bank has been handed over to Mr. Dharmendra Varshney, Senior Manager and Authorized Representative of the Petitioner, today during the course of hearing. 4.

In view of the above, nothing survives in the Writ Petition and the same is disposed of along with the pending applications, if any.
