This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ("BNSS") seeking extension of parole for a period of 60 days in FIR No.629/2016 registered at Police Station Mukherjee Nagar for the offences punishable under Section 302/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, on medical grounds.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is presently on parole pursuant to the order dated 23.04.2026 passed by this Court and the said period of parole is set to expire on 09.06.2026. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is suffering from multiple medical ailments and is presently undergoing treatment at AAA Hospital, Adiyogi Arogya Avenue, Jhajjar. In support thereof, a medical certificate has been placed on record, wherein the concerned doctors have advised the petitioner to remain under medical The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. supervision during the recovery phase for a period of 25-30 days. It is further submitted that the petitioner is scheduled to undergo surgery and would not be in a position to surrender upon expiry of the present parole period. 4.

It is further submitted that the medical certificate relied upon by the petitioner has already been verified by the Investigating Officer in Bail Appl. No. 2170/2026, which is also listed before another Coordinate Bench of this Court.

In these circumstances, considering the aforesaid submissions as well as the medical condition of the petitioner, the petitioner convicted in FIR No. 629/2016 registered at Police Station Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, under Sections 302/120B/34 IPC is granted extension of parole for a further period of four weeks from the date of expiry of the existing parole period, on the same terms and conditions as contained in the order dated 23.04.2026 passed by this Court.

The petitioner shall surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent on the date of expiry of the extended period of parole. 7.

A copy of this order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent forthwith.

The petition stands disposed of in the above terms. Other pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
