..... Respondents Through:

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE CHANDER SHEKHAR

O R D E R

% 07.06.2019 1.

Status report has been filed.

2.

Learned APP submitted that the petitioner did not apply for parole to the competent authority, hence, it has taken time. However, the matter has now been communicated and the same is pending for adjudication before the competent authority. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on the other hand, submitted that the petitioner applied to the appropriate authority for the grant of parole, which is evident from the status report and the parole petition.

4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that he seeks the parole to attend the marriage of his cousin brother, which is to be solemnised on 8.6.2019 at his ancestral village. 5.

However, taking into consideration that the petitioner

was lastly granted furlough till 26.4.2019 about 1 1⁄2 months back. Even otherwise, I also do not find any merit in the grounds mentioned in the petition for the grant of parole. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
