O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 372/2024 1.

This petition has been filed, under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, which is in seisin of disputes between the parties arising out of a Letter of Acceptance of Work dated 28.01.2016. 2.

The Arbitral Tribunal was appointed by an order of this Court dated 03.06.2022 in Arb. P. 733/2022. The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal was extended by mutual consent of the parties, as recorded in an email dated 15.11.2023, until 29.04.2024. 3.

I am informed that in the arbitral proceedings, evidence has been completed and the proceedings are at the stage of final arguments. Mr. Suresh Tripathi, learned counsel for the respondent, appears on advance notice, and states that the respondent has no objection to the relief sought.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of six months from 29.04.2024.
