% 17.09.2019 The present petition has been filed seeking quashing of FIR No.188/2018 registered under sections 420/34 IPC at P.S. Mayur Vihar. Learned ASC for the State submits that the criminal proceedings under aforesaid sections were initiated against both the accused persons and respondent no.2 is the only complainant.

Both the petitioners and the complainant are present in the Court and have been identified by the investigating officer. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the dispute between the parties stands settled vide Settlement Deed dated 18.07.2018, copy whereof is on record as Annexure B. W.P.(CRL) 1674/2019 P-1/2

Respondent no.2/complainant, who is present in the Court admits the factum of settlement arrived at with the petitioners and he further states that he has entered into settlement with the petitioners on his own free will and without any undue force or coercion. He further states that in view of the settlement, he has no objection if the aforementioned FIR is quashed.

In view of the above facts, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing criminal proceedings against the petitioners. Accordingly, the FIR No.188/2018 registered under sections 420/34 IPC at P.S. Mayur Vihar and consequential proceedings thereof, are hereby quashed.
