The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following reliefs: "A. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to include and display the name of the Petitioner Institution in the list of recognized institutions published on the official website of the Respondent NCTE along with its sanctioned intake capacity of 100 seats for the D.El.Ed. Course and, thereafter, to communicate the said correction to the concerned State Government, Examination Body and Affiliating Body/University;
B. Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction directing the Respondents to modify the Restoration Order dated The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Course and, thereafter, to communicate the said corrected Restoration Order to the concerned State Government, Examination Body and Affiliating Body/University;
C. pass any such other orders/directions as this Hon'ble Court deems fit & proper in the facts & circumstances of the matter and in the interest of justice.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner institution, namely R.L. Patel Primary Training College, is an existing teacher training institution and was granted recognition by the Respondent/NCTE for conducting the D.El.Ed. (PTC) course vide Recognition Order dated 15.09.2006 with an intake of 50 seats. He further submits that vide Recognition Order dated 13.05.2008, an additional intake of 50 seats was granted, thereby increasing the total sanctioned intake capacity of the petitioner institution to 100 seats (2 units). He further submits that pursuant to the Restoration Order dated 14.01.2026, the sanctioned intake capacity of the petitioner institution has not been reflected as 100 seats (2 units). 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that despite the recognition granted to the petitioner institution continuing to remain valid and operative, the petitioner institution has not been reflected in the list of recognized institutions uploaded on the official website of the Respondent/NCTE with its sanctioned intake capacity. It is submitted that on account thereof, the petitioner institution is being denied participation in the counselling/admission process for the Academic Session 2026-2027. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, who appears on advance notice, on instructions submits that the respondents have no objection if the present petition is allowed subject to verification of the status of the petitioner institution and its sanctioned intake capacity. 6.
Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to verify the status of the petitioner institution and its sanctioned intake capacity and, if upon such verification the petitioner institution is found to be a recognized institution having a sanctioned intake capacity of 100 seats, the respondents shall update the status of the petitioner institution in the list of recognized institutions available on the official website of the NCTE within a period of four weeks.

Thereafter, communication to this effect shall be sent to the affiliating body as well as the Department of Higher Education, Government of Gujarat, within a period of two weeks from the date the status is uploaded. 8.
Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. 9.
