The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions against the respondent no. 1, restraining them from constructing the New Delhi Municipal Council ("NDMC") Type-IV and V quarters on a piece of land situated at South End Lane, New Delhi.

It is to be noted that during the pendency of the present writ petition, construction of the building in question has already been completed, subject to the outcome of the present writ petition.

When the matter was listed on 13th May, 2025, this Court had noted as follows:
"1.
Learned counsel appearing for the New Delhi Municipal Council ("NDMC") submits that the matter is pending with the PMO.
2. This Court notes that the building in question was constructed way back in the year 2001.

3. Considering the pendency of the present matter, i.e., approximately for 24 years, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is directed to seek instructions in regard thereto.

Today, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that since the matter is pending with the PMO, the present petition can be disposed of, with liberty to the petitioner to revive the present writ petition, in case, the decision of the PMO is against the respondent no. 1-NDMC. 5.
Noting the aforesaid submissions, and with the aforesaid liberty, the present writ petition, along with the pending application, stands disposed of.
