This Petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A(5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, inter alia, seeking extension of mandate of learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of six months.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Parties have already partly addressed final arguments before the learned Arbitrator and only limited proceedings and procedural compliances remain to be concluded before the matter can be reserved for award. 3.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had earlier approached this Court seeking extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator, which was allowed vide order dated 14.08.2025, whereby the mandate was extended for a further period of nine months with effect from 17.09.2025 till 16.06.2026. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner further submitted that the mandate of the learned Arbitrator, as previously extended by this Court vide order 14.08.2025, is due to expire, while the arbitral proceedings are still pending adjudication at an advanced stage before the learned Arbitrator.

Issue Notice. The learned Counsel for the Respondent accepts Notice.

Considering that the present arbitration proceedings are at the stage of final arguments and the Parties are considering the settlement, at joint request of the Parties, the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is hereby extended for a period of six months with effect from 17.06.2026. 7.

Accordingly, the present Petition stands disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
