Present has been filed under Sections 528 and 483 (3) of Bharatiya Nagarik Surakasha Sanhita, 2023 seeking cancellation of interim bail granted to accused/respondent. It was granted so as to enable him to attend marriage of his daughter which was scheduled for 19.06.2026. 2.

Fact, however, remains that when the present petition was taken up by the learned Vacation Bench on 17.06.2026, it stayed the operation of aforesaid bail order dated 25.05.2026.

Resultantly, respondent/accused could not come out of jail and continues to remain behind the bars.

Learned counsel for respondent submits that in view of the aforesaid stay given by this Court, the marriage has also been postponed and, therefore, he is, in the present unusual situation, no longer interested in availing the concession of interim bail.

Viewed thus, nothing further survives in the present matter. 6.

In view of the aforesaid statement made by learned counsel for respondent, petitioner-State also does not seek for any further relief in the matter, claiming that matter has become, more or less, academic one. 7.
