This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia seeking compassionate appointment in place of the deceasedfather, who died in harness at the post of Peon/Multi Tasking Staff in the Central Hindi Directorate, Ministry of Education/respondent no.2. 4.

It is stated that the father of the petitioner had unfortunately expired on 21.03.2019. After the unfortunate demise of the father of the petitioner, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

the mother of the petitioner had by a representation dated 22.06.2019 requested for compassionate appointment to her son. 5.

While the application was submitted, there was no response by the department and only by a letter dated 12.02.2021, they were asked to file a fresh application in the proper format within 15 days from such letter. 6.

It is undisputed that though 15 days were permitted to file such application, the second application was filed only on 18.05.2023. It is stated that the petitioner had lost his paternal Uncle and had to station himself in the Village and as such the application could not be submitted on time. 7.

Issue notice.

Mr. Vikram Jetly, learned CGSC appears for the respondent and accepts notice.

Mr. Jetly submits that the said application has been received by the department and the Committee for considering the compassionate appointment has already been constituted and are processing various applications in that context.

He submits that some time may be provided to the respondents to process the said application of the petitioner. 11.

Mr. Ashu Kumar Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioner has no objection in case some time is permitted to the respondents to process the said application by the Committee, which has been constituted for compassionate appointments.

In view of the above, respondent no.2 is directed to process the said application seeking compassionate appointment within six weeks from today, as instructed.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition alongwith pending application, if The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

It is needless to state that the decision shall be communicated to the petitioner within one week of such decision.
