This is a petition under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('the Act') for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of twelve (12) months. 4.

It is stated in the petition that previously a similar petition under Section 29A of the Act of 1996 was filed and this Court had extended the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for a period of six (6) months. 5.

It is stated that the arbitral proceedings could not be concluded within the said extended period due to the complexity of the issues involved. 6.

the Twentieth (20th) Procedural Order dated 04.04.2025 passed by the Arbitral Tribunal wherein it was directed to the parties to move an appropriate application for extension of time before the concerned court of Law. The said Order is exhibited as Document no. 3 with the petition. 7.

Learned counsel for the parties assure the Court that they will cooperate with the Arbitral Tribunal so that proceedings can be concluded within this period.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 24.04.2025. He states that recording of claimant's evidence is over and the matter is now listed for recording of the Respondent's evidence.

Issue notice. Mr. Rahul Jain, Advocate learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent. He states that he has no objection to the present petition being allowed and he as well, joins the Petitioner's request of extending the mandate of Arbitral Tribunal by a period of twelve (12) months.

The parties state that they will cooperate with the Arbitral Tribunal for completing recording of evidence and final arguments so that the award can be published within 12 months and the mandate of time bound disposal can be achieved.

Learned Arbitral Tribunal is requested not to grant any unnecessary adjournment to the either party so that the award can be published within the extended period of 12 months.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of, along with the pending applications, if any.
