% 14.12.2024 The appellant/Insurance Company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 30.11.2015 passed by learned Commissioner under the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923 awarding the compensation of Rs. 9,09,888/- along with interest @ 12% per annum from the date of claim petition. On appeal being admitted for hearing, the Insurance Company has deposited the entire award amount of compensation with accrued interest before the Commissioner under the Employees'

Compensation Act, 1923 and 50% of the deposited amount has already been released to the appellant/claimant. It is noted that the awarded amount along with the accrued interest amounted to Rs. 12,00,568/- stood deposited by the appellant The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. on 15.01.2016 before the Commissioner under Employees' Compensation, District North-West.

It is agreed between the parties that out of the deposited amount along with accrued interest, a lump sum amount of Rs. 50,000/- shall be refunded to the Insurance Company and balance deposited amount along with accrued interest shall be released to the respondent No. 1/claimant.

In view of the above the concerned Commissioner under the Employees' Compensation is directed to refund the lump sum amount of Rs. 50,000/- to the Insurance Company and release the balance amount along with accrued interest lying deposited with the concerned Commissioner under Employees' Compensation to the respondent No. 1, subject to fulfillment of all the requisite formalities. The present appeal alongwith the pending application(s), if any, is disposed of in terms of the foregoing settlement. (DHARMESH SHARMA) PRESIDING OFFICER K.
