O R D E R

% 05.09.2019 The petitioners have filed the present petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C) for quashing of FIR No. 281/2018, under Section 420/468/471/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC'), registered at Police Station- North Rohini, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom.

The petitioners and respondent no.2 as well as their respective counsels submitted that the parties have settled their dispute amicably on their own free will, without any force or coercion vide Compromise Deed dated 14.05.2019 and copy of the same has been placed on record. Respondent no.2, who is present in Court, has reiterated the aforesaid facts and submitted that she has amicably settled the dispute. She further submitted that she has no objection if the FIR is quashed and the petition is allowed.

Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners have also paid a sum of Rs. 50,000/- to respondent no.2 Manjari Gupta today vide Demand Draft. A copy of the said Demand Draft has also been placed on record. The Investigating Officer, who is present in Court, has identified the petitioners as well as respondent no.2 and has also verified the settlement. In view of the above settlement, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 281/2018, under Section 420/468/471/34 of IPC, registered at Police Station- North Rohini, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is dispose of in above terms.
