O R D E R

% 04.09.2019 The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C) for quashing of FIR No. 133/2017, under Section 498A of Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC'), registered at Police Station- Dabri, New Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom. Status report filed.

The petitioner and respondent no.2 as well as their respective counsels submits that the parties have settled their disputes on their own free will, without any force or coercion.

Respondent no.2, who is present in Court, has reiterated the aforesaid facts and submits that she has no objection to the FIR being quashed and the petition being allowed.

The Investigating Officer, who is present in Court, has identified the petitioner as well as respondent no.2 and has also verified the settlement. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the parties entangled in criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 133/2017, under Section 498A of Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC'), registered at Police Station- Dabri, New Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in above terms.
