The present petition has been put up on the basis of a status report, which indicates that the petitioner has not surrendered after completion of the period of parole.

The petitioner was directed to be released on parole by an order dated 17.09.2019 and subsequently, it was clarified by an order dated 24.09.2019 that the petitioner shall be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release.

The petitioner had applied for extension of parole by filing a writ petition [W.P.(Crl.) 3055/2019], which was disposed of by an order dated 01.11.2019 and the parole granted to the petitioner was extended for a further period of two weeks.

It is stated that the period of parole is over and the petitioner has not surrendered, as yet.

In view of the above, the personal bond and surety bond are required to be forfeited and steps are required to be taken to apprehend the petitioner. This Court considers it apposite to transfer the aforesaid matter to the concerned Trial Court for issuance of appropriate directions/NBWs. 6.

The Registry is directed to send this order to the concerned Trial Court.
