This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking directions to Respondent No. 1/State to give protection to the Petitioner as allegedly there is a threat to her life and liberty from her son and daughter-in-law who live in the same premises.

Looking at the close relationship between the parties, this Court has attempted to bring about an amicable settlement of the inter se disputes, however, at this stage, there does not appear to be any possibility of putting a quietus to the litigation. Since the only relief sought in the present petition is confined to providing protection to the Petitioner, learned ASC candidly submits that mobile phone numbers of the SHO of the area and the Beat Constable shall be provided to the Petitioner during the course of day on W.P.(CRL) 1534/2022 Page 1 of 2 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. which she will be free to contact in case of any help or assistance and if necessary, required action shall be taken.

Petition is accordingly disposed of recording the assurance given on behalf of the State with a further direction that if the Petitioner contacts the Beat Constable or the concerned SHO on the mobile numbers furnished to her, necessary assistance will be provided in the given circumstances. Beat Constable shall visit the house of the Petitioner once in one month to inquire about the well-being of the Petitioner and her husband, both of whom are old and ailing.
