This is an application seeking exemption from filing originals/certified/cleared/typed or translated copies of documents, left side margins, electronic documents, etc.

Original documents shall be produced/filed at the time of Admission/Denial, if sought, strictly as per the provisions of the Commercial Courts Act and the Delhi High Court (Original Side) Rules, 2018.

Accordingly, the application is disposed of.

This is a petition filed by the Petitioner-M/s. G4S Secure Solutions Pvt. (hereinafter, '1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the ld. Sole Arbitrator.

As per the petition, the Petitioner was awarded a contract by the Respondent-GDN Enterprises to provide security services at various sites in Noida. Disputes over payments arose, leading the Petitioner to terminate the contract, effective 7th July, 2016. Thereafter, in terms of the contract, the High Court appointed a sole arbitrator on 20th September, 2018, but issues with contacting the ld. Sole Arbitrator led to his substitution on 20th March, 2019. The proceedings began on 4th May, 2019, with both parties submitting their claims and defenses. As per the petition, the deadline for the arbitration award was extended multiple times, with the latest extension granted by the High Court until 31st March, 2024. Thus, the present petition seeking extension.

Ld. Counsel for the parties submit that the matter is at the stage of final arguments. The ld. Counsel for the Respondent has consented to the mandate of the arbitrator being extended.

Considering the facts and circumstances, the mandate is extended by a further period of six months from 31st March, 2024. 9.

The petition is disposed of.
