The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning an order dated 11.10.2018 passed under Section 10A of the Passport Act, 1967 (hereafter 'the Act') impounding the petitioner's passport. The petitioner also impugns an order dated 16.05.2019, passed by the Appellate Authority rejecting the petitioner's appeal filed under Section 11 of the Act against the order of impounding his passport.

The petitioner's passport was impounded in terms of Section 10(3)(e) of the Act, as there are several criminal cases are pending against the petitioner (FIR No. 40/2016 registered at P.S. Mahila Thana Firozabad, U.R, Case No. 1017/2016 u/s 12, 18, 19, 20, 22 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, FIR No, 747/2016 registered at P.S.- North Firozabad, FIR No. 59/2016 registered at Women Police Station Panipat,

Haryana, Case No. 2680 of 2016 pending in the Court of C.J.M, Firozabad and Case No. 1270/2016 pending in the Court of C.J.M, Firozabad). 3.

In view of the above, the petitioner's passport has been sought to be revoked under Section 10(3)(e) of the Act.

Mr Gogna, learned counsel appearing for the respondents points out that the petitioner would be at liberty to seek no objection from the concerned court and if the said no objection is granted in terms of the notification dated 25.08.1993, the passport will be issued to the petitioner for a period of one year or such other period as may be directed by the court. 5.

In view of the above, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to approach the concerned court for seeking No Objection Certificate for issuance of a passport. 6.
