% 15.02.2018 Petitioner seeks quashing of the present FIR i.e. the FIR No.0155/2016 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC at police station Jamia Nagar on the complaint of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present in person. Her presence has been identified by the Investigating Officer. Parties i.e. petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had been married according to their personal law; they have been divorced according to their personal law. Parties have settled their disputes. This fact is verified by the parties (present in person). Respondent no.2 having received a sum of Rs.4 lakhs from petitioner no.1 no dispute now remains between the parties. Petitioner accordingly pray that the present FIR be quashed. This is a fit case where the Court should exercise its discretion. Accordingly, FIR No.0155/2016 registered under Sections

498A/406/34 of the IPC at police station Jamia Nagar and all the proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed. Petition disposed of in the above terms.
