Petitioner seeks issuance of writ in nature of mandamus to the respondent to release him on parole for a period of six weeks to enable him to file Special Leave Petition (SLP) before Hon'ble Supreme Court challenging the judgment whereby his appeal was dismissed on 20.09.2019 by learned Divions Bench of this Court.

The application seeking parole is dated 04.04.2026 which is yet to be decided.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel (Crl.) for the State appears on advance notice and submits that every effort would be made to consider the abovesaid application within a period of two weeks from today. 4.

the petitioner does not press for any further relief in the matter, at the moment. 5.
He, however, submits that if parole application is not adjudicated within the abovesaid time-frame, he may be given liberty to revive the present petition.

Liberty, as prayed, is granted.
