The present petition was previously listed on 08.05.2025, in the category of old/targeted cases, when there was no appearance on behalf of both parties. The court therefore issued a notice to the parties as well as their counsel.

It is noted that the petition was previously listed on 27.09.2004, when it was adjourned sine die with the liberty for the parties to seek its revival. It was also recorded in the order dated 27.09.2004 that the issue is pending adjudication in the Hon'ble Supreme Court and the present petition is to be heard along with W.P.(C) 2204/2001 and W.P.(C) 63/2003. 3.

However, when the matter was called out today, none appeared on behalf of either party.
