This petition seeks the following directions: "a,. Issue a Writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quashing the impugned SRB order 30.08.2024 & 18.09.2024 in regard to the petitioner; and b. Issue a Writ, Order or direction in the nature of Mandamus to the Respondents to consider the case of the Petitioner for premature release under the Remission Policy dated 16.01.2004; and c. Issue a'Writ, Order or direction in the nature of Mandamus to the State Government to release of the Petitioner under the Remission Policy dated 16.07.2004 on immediate basis; and d. Pass such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of total justice." 2.
Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned ASC, on advance instructions, apprised the Court that the case of the petitioner shall be reconsidered in the next meeting of the competent authority. According to him, the meeting is likely to take place within 2-3 months.

can be disposed of with the directions to the competent authority to reconsider the case of the petitioner in accordance with law. 4.
If the decision of the reconsideration is against the petitioner, the petitioner shall be at liberty to take appropriate recourse in accordance with law to file a fresh petition.

With these observations, the instant petition, at this stage, stands disposed of.
