The Petitioner, an employee of the Respondent Bank, has filed the present petition seeking consideration of her representations requesting transfer from Barmer to the Delhi/NCR region. Mr. Girish C. Jha, counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the Petitioner is presently undergoing medical treatment which requires constant medical supervision. He further submits that the Petitioner is ordinarily a resident of Gurugram where her family, comprising her in-laws and young children are residing. According to Mr. Jha, Petitioner's medical condition can be better managed if she is posted closer to her residence.

He also submits that the Petitioner has rendered nearly ten years of dedicated service to the Respondent Bank and, in view of her medical condition and family circumstances, as detailed in the various representations submitted from time to time, the Respondent Bank ought to adopt a humanitarian approach while considering her request. that despite the aforesaid representations, no effective decision has yet been taken thereon.

In view of the above, Mr. Jha, counsel for the Petitioner, confines the relief sought in the present petition to a direction to the Respondent Bank to take an appropriate decision on the Petitioner's pending representations. 3.

Having heard counsel for the parties and considering the limited relief sought, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent Bank to consider and decide the Petitioner's representations, including the latest representation dated 14th May, 2026, within a period of four weeks from today, in accordance with law. If the applicable rules or policy of the Bank permit consideration of the Petitioner's request on compassionate or medical grounds, the same may also be taken into account having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case. The decision so taken shall be communicated to the Petitioner within the aforesaid period. Needless to state, if the Petitioner remains aggrieved by such decision, she shall be at liberty to avail such remedies as may be available to her in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the present petition, along with all pending applications, stands disposed of.
