This is a writ petition under Sections 226/227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking following reliefs: "a. Declare and Hold that the action of the respondents in postponing petitioner's date of promotion to the post of Professor unilaterally from 05.05.2013 to 01.01.2019 is illegal, arbitrary and whimsical. And b. Quash and set aside corrigendum dated 26.06.2019 qua the petitioner and further direct the respondents to restore their Office Order dated 14.02.2019 qua the petitioner and consequently grant promotion to the petitioner to the post of Professor (Grade Pay Rs. 8700/- with PB-4) w.e.f. 05.05.2013 with all consequential benefits viz. difference in pay, arrears, promotion, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Notice is accepted by Mr. Ghosh, learned counsel appearing for the respondents/JMI.

Mr. Ghosh, learned counsel for the respondents, at the outset submits that the respondents have been able to trace the file of the petitioner bearing FTS No.550237 and in terms of the representation dated 14.09.2023, the said representation is under consideration of the Competent Authority. He submits that the same shall be shortly considered and disposed of.

It is directed that the said representation be disposed of within a period of four weeks. An opportunity of hearing be granted to the petitioner. In case, any further documents are to be furnished, the petitioner is at liberty to furnish the same at the time of hearing. The said representation be disposed of via a speaking order. The copy of the said order shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith. Needless to state that the petitioner would be at liberty to take appropriate steps in accordance with law, thereafter. 8.
