Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking quashing and setting aside of the Award dated 13.02.2006 passed in I.D. No. 763/1999, which became enforceable in terms of Section 17-A of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 upon its publication, and further for quashing of the reference order bearing No. F-24(3591)/99LAB/44126-30 dated 22.10.1999 made by Respondent No. 2. 2.

Ld. Counsel for the Parties submit that the matter has been amicably settled between the Parties vide Settlement Agreement dated 13th January, 2026 before the Samadhan, Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre. The copy of the same is already on record. 3.

In terms of the Settlement Agreement, a sum of Rs.3,40,000/- is to be paid by the Petitioner to the Respondent. way of Demand Draft No. 023970 dated 02nd February, 2026 drawn on HDFC Bank in the name of Nand Lal Tiwari. The original Demand Draft has been handed over to the Respondent, who is present in Court in person, and a copy thereof has been handed over to the Court. 4.

In view of the aforesaid settlement, the present writ petition is disposed of as settled.

As per Clause (b) of the aforementioned Settlement Agreement, which reads as under:

"Rs.4,60,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Forty Six Thousand Only) shall bereleased to the Second Party/Workman which was deposited by FirstParty/Management under the Orders of the court as stated herein above."

Accordingly, it is directed that the sum of Rs.4,60,000/- lying deposited with the Registrar General be released in favour of the Workman (inclusive of interest, if any), subject to due verification of identity and compliance with the requisite formalities in accordance with law.
