CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAYANT NATH

O R D E R

% 14.01.2020 This writ petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking restoration of the electricity supply at property bearing No.C-22/8, part of Khasra No.68/5/1, situated in the abadi known as Sadh Nagar, Palam Colony, New Delhi.

As per the prayer clause of the petitioners, direction was also sought to restrain respondent no.3/Delhi Jal Board from disconnecting water supply to the said property.

Pursuant to the interim order dated 28.06.2019, respondent no.2

has restored the electricity connection. Similarly, learned counsel for the respondent no.3 states that they have not disconnected the water connection.

It appears that there is a civil dispute pending between the petitioners and the respondent no.4, before this Court and also before the District Courts.

As the prayer in the case was limited to grant of electricity and water connection which has been done, nothing further survives in the present petition.

The electricity and water connection shall not be disconnected by the respondents except by due process of law. It is clarified that the electricity connection shall not be disconnected on the ground that the connection relates to property No.C-22/7 or C-22/8, as noted by this Court in its order dated 28.06.2019.

This order is passed without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the petitioners and respondent no.4 in the pending civil suits.

The writ petition is disposed of.
