The present petition has been filed under Section 482 CrPC read with Section 439 CrPC seeking extension of interim bail granted to the petitioner vide order dated 08.04.2024, which was subsequently extended by the learned Trial Court.

Notice was issued to the respondent/CBI to file the Status Report. The Status Report has been handed over in the Court and the same is taken on record.

A perusal of the Status Report shows that the factum that petitioner's mother is a cancer patient and is undergoing Chemotherapy, has not been disputed. It is also mentioned in the Status Report that the Chemotherapy usually spans for a period of 12 to 18 weeks. 4.
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that out of 18 cycles planned for the petitioner's mother, she has already undergone two cycles of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Chemotherapy and the third cycle is now scheduled for 22.05.2024. 5.
He further submits that there is no other responsible person available in the petitioner's family to take care of his ailing mother, in as much as, his wife is a home maker, who has to take care of two minor children. 6.
The learned counsel submits that the present interim bail be extended till 03.07.2024 and he has instructions to state that no further extension will be sought after 03.07.2024 and the petitioner will surrender on 04.07.2024. The statement is taken on record.

In view of the above, the interim bail granted to the petitioner is extended till 03.07.2024 on the same terms and conditions as mentioned in the order dated 08.04.2024 of the learned Trial Court. 8.
Upon expiry of period of interim bail as stated above, the petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent on 04.07.2024. 9.
The petition stands disposed of.

Copy of the order be forwarded to the concerned Jail Superintendent for necessary compliance and information.
