The Petition under Section 482 Cr.PC, has been filed by the accused namely, B.R. Bhaskar, for quashing of the Criminal Complaint bearing CT No. (New No.20209/2016) (Old No.541/1/05) under Sections 200/202 Cr.P.C, registered at Police Station Parliament Street. 2.

On 19.03.2005 the respondent No. 2/ Press Trust of India Ltd. filed a Criminal Complaint under Section 200/202 Cr.P.C against the petitioner along iwth three other persons which was registered vide Criminal Complaint bearing (Old) No.541/1/05, now renumbered as CC No.20209/2016 at P.S. Parliament Street for taking cognizance against the petitioner and three other persons for the offences under Sections The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

On 10.05.2005 presummoning evidence was led by the complainant and the learned Trial Court issued summoning orders against the petitioner as well as three other persons.

After issuance of summoning Order, the three other persons compromised the matter with the complainant/respondent on 03.07.2014 and the complaint was quashed against the other three persons vide Order of this Court dated 17.03.2015.

It is submitted that on 23.04.2024 the petitioner and respondent No.2 through the intervention of its friends, office colleagues and Trade Union leaders of PTI, out of his free will, without any force, coercion or pressure has settled their disputes and differences relating to the present case. It is therefore submitted that the Petition be quashed. 4.

The parties are present in the Court and submits that the matter stands settled between them. The complainant has no objection if the FIR is quashed against the petitioner on account of the settlement already arrived at between the parties.

In view of the submissions made, the Petition is allowed.

Accordingly, the Criminal Complaint bearing CT No. (New No.20209/2016) (Old No.541/1/05) under Sections 200/202 Cr.P.C, registered at Police Station Parliament Street, for offences punishable under Sections 420/463/464/465/468/469/471/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 with all the subsequent proceedings is hereby quashed qua the petitioner herein.
