The present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. seeks the following prayers: "a) by way of an appropriate writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or directions be made to the Respondent nos. 1 & 2 to investigate the scheduled offences particularly cheating etc. as defined under Schedule of Prevention of Money laundering Act, 2002 as disclosed by the petitioners in their complaint dated 03.09.2020 and an ECIR may be registered against all the partners of the firm including Shri Manoj Kumar;

b) Costs of the present writ petition be awarded in favour of the petitioners and against the respondents.

c) Any other order as may be deemed fit and proper in view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances may also be passed in favour of the Petitioners and against the Respondents."

Learned Special Counsel for respondent no. 2 submits that as per the scheme of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, no scheduled offence has been registered to enable the department to register an ECIR. 3.

None appears on behalf of the petitioner.

There was no appearance on behalf of the petitioner on the last date of hearing, i.e, on 13.10.2023.

In view of the above, the petition is dismissed in default for nonprosecution and disposed of accordingly. 6.
