Learned counsel for the appellant, upon instructions from the appellant, who is present in person, duly identified by the I.O., and has handed over his gate-pass, which is taken on record, submits that having completed his entire substantive sentence and deposited the fine imposed upon him by the Trial Court, and having understood the consequences, he does not wish to press the present appeal on merits. The nominal roll of the appellant is on record, as per which the appellant has been released on 14.02.2024 on expiry of his sentence.

In view of the aforesaid, the present appeal stands disposed of as not pressed.
