The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking release of gold weighing about 300 grams allegedly recovered by the Customs Department from the Petitioner on 15th June, 2023 when he had arrived at the IGI Airport, New Delhi from Riyadh.

It has been pointed out to the Petitioner that none of the details regarding the gold, which allegedly has been detained, have been provided in the petition. The details of the Petitioner's citizenship and passport copy have also not been placed with the writ petition.

Accordingly, ld. Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file afresh. 5.
