This is a public interest litigation by the petitioner seeking following prayers:- "(i) Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other writ of like nature thereby passing order or direction to the respondents to implement the suggestions made by the Petitioner vide representation dated 17-06-2019 to curb the excess force used by police, to maintain cordial Police-Public Relation, to reduce corruption and to over all monitor the functioning of police and for seeking further directions, in the interest of justice. (ii) Pass any other appropriate Order or Direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit."

Looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, we direct that the suggestions made by this petitioner in this writ petition will be kept in mind by the respondents while taking the decision.

We make it explicitly clear that we are not giving any directions to the respondents, it is left open for the respondents to accept or reject the suggestions of the petitioner as mentioned in the memorandum of this writ petition.
