The present petition under Section 25B(8) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958, seeks the following prayers: - "It is, therefore, most respectfully and humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be pleased to set-aside/quash the Judgment/Order dated 18.10.2019 passed by the Court Of MS SUSHEEL BALA DAGAR Addnl. Rent Controller, (Central District), Tis Hazari Court, Delhi in Eviction Petition no. E 582/2018 Titled as "Parvesh Kumar Verma vs. Kailash Narain Malhotra" and allow the Petitioner to contest the eviction petition on merits.

Such other or further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case be also passed in favour of the Petitioner and against the Respondent, in the interest of justice."

Learned counsels for the parties submits that the matter has been settled before Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre vide settlement agreement dated 27.02.2026. As per said agreement, a demand draft bearing DD No. 405677 dated 05.03.2026 in the sum of Rs. 5,00,000/- in favour of respondent has been handed over in Court to the latter by the petitioner. 4.

In view of the aforesaid agreement, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition. 5.

The present petition is dismissed as withdrawn and disposed of accordingly.

Needless to state that the parties shall abide by their reciprocal obligations in terms of the aforesaid settlement agreement.
