IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI
+ W.P.(C) 7161/2019 KARAN SINGH ..... Petitioner Through:
Mr Parveen Kumar Aggarwal, Advocate.
versus THE PRINCIPAL COMMISSIONER OF WEST ZONE COMMISSIONERATE AND ANR.
..... Respondents Through:
Mr Amit Bansal, Senior Standing Counsel with Mr Aman Rewaria, Advocate for R-1 & 2.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIBHU BAKHRU
O R D E R
% 05.07.2019 CM APPL. 29831/2019 1.
Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
2.
The application stands disposed of.
W.P.(C) 7161/2019 3.
The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, impugning the act of the respondents in freezing the bank accounts of the petitioner. 4.
Mr Bansal, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that respondent no.1 has no role to play in the action taken against the petitioner. The order for attachment of the petitioner's bank account at Rohtak has been issued by respondent no.2, who has its office at Rohtak. He submits that the said action has been taken by respondent no.2 pursuant to Section 83 of the Central Goods and Services Act, 2017.
5.
Since respondent no.2 is in Rohtak as well as the bank account of the
petitioner, which has been attached is also in Rohtak, this Court does not consider it apposite to entertain the present petition. 6.
The petitioner is, of course, not precluded to approach the appropriate court vested with territorial jurisdiction in respect of Rohtak, Haryana for the redressal of his grievances.
7.
The petition is dismissed with the aforesaid observations. VIBHU BAKHRU, J JULY 05, 2019 RK
