These are petitions filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 18 months.

It is stated that the matter is at the stage of cross-examination and there is voluminous evidence to be recorded.

Ms. Nanda, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and has no objection to the petitions being allowed.

For the reasons noted above, I am satisfied that a sufficient cause for delay has been shown. Hence, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended upto 18 months from today to conclude the arbitration proceedings. 6.
The period from 20.11.2024 till today stands regularized. 7.
The petitions are disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
