The petition has filed for the following reliefs: "a. lssue an appropriate writ of mandamus writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondents to pay the Petitioner the enhanced compensation to the the tune of I 0 times the amount originally received by the Petitioner, minus the amount already received, adjusted with inflation, along with interest, as the court may decide or grant. b. Issue an appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondents to include the Petitioner as a beneficiary under all applicable compensation and rehabilitation schemes or any other relief that may exist, which has been formulated for the victims of the 1984 riots.

c. Or in the alternative, Issue an appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the Respondents to decide the Representation made by the Petitioner to Respondents, under the relevant rehabilitation schemes, in accordance with the principles of fairness, equity, and government policy.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that if the petitioner files an appropriate application, the same shall be considered with the due assistance of the concerned Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). 3.

Accordingly, the Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the petition with the following directions.

(i) Let the petitioner to approach respondent no.2 with appropriate application seeking necessary relief under the applicable scheme.

(ii) On doing the aforesaid, let the application be disposed of in accordance with extant rules within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the application.

(iii) All rights and contentions of the parties are left open. 4.

With the aforesaid, the petition, along with pending application, stands disposed of.
