The present petition has been filed by the petitioner being aggrieved by the dis-connection of the electricity meter bearing CA No.100583118 at Dargah Mama Bhanja Masjid, Rani Jhansi Road, Karol Bagh, Jhandewalan, Near Petrol Pump, Delhi-110055.

Learned counsel for the respondent is unable to controvert the fact that the electricity connection has been removed without serving any notice to the petitioner. However, it is sought to be contended that the disconnection was carried out at the behest of the MCD. However, learned counsel for the respondent expresses his inability to substantiate the said plea through any document/ correspondence.

In the circumstances, it is directed that the aforesaid electricity meter of the petitioner shall be forthwith restored by the respondent. If and when a written communication is sent by the MCD to the respondent seeking disconnection of the said electricity connection, the respondent shall be at The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
