The present petition has been preferred by the petitioners under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to extend the benefits of Govt.
of India's letters dated 17.03.1986, 19.02.1987, 12.05.1987, 21.04.1988 and OM dated 30.05.1995 with respect to grant of pro-rata pension to the petitioners, who have served as Short Service Commissioned Officers in the Indian Armed Forces and thereafter, joined the Central Public Enterprises/Central Government/Autonomous bodies. 2.
Admittedly, the jurisdiction qua the grievance(s) raised by the petitioners herein lies with the learned Armed Forces Tribunal ('AFT') under Section 3 of the Armed Forces Tribunal Act, 2007.
